Bollywood director Omung Kumar planning to rope in legendary actor ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ in a role of Pakistani lawyer who fight Sarabjit Singh’s case in his upcoming biopic film Sarbjit. Mary Kom director Omung Kumar zealously designed to start his next project which is a biopic film of Sarabjit Singh featuring ‘Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’ as ‘Dalbir Kaur.’ Now he is thinking over casting Amitabh Bachchan for a crucial role in his film.
Earlier Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya has already shared screen space in films like Mohabbatein and Sarkaar Raj. Aishwarya made her appearance in a special song track ‘Kajra Re’ in Bunty Aur Babli which featured Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan along with her.
The story of Sarbjit is to portray all the struggles of Dalbir Kaur whose life aim is to set her brother Sarabjit free from Pakistani jail and get him back who was imprisoned. Pakistani Court convicted Sarabjit in the case of terrorism. To fight for her brother’s release from Lahore jail, Dalbir Kaur puts her heart and soul to set him free but her pursuit ended when he died in 2013 due to cruel attack by other prisoners. Film features Randeep Hooda in the role of Sarabjit Singh and is all set to go on floors from October in Punjab. Film planned to make its release in May 2016.
