Gionee is set to launch its next-generation smartphone Elife E8 which was announced earlier. The company has sent invitations to the press for the launch event on October 8 at New Delhi along with a message ‘Block your date for some GR8 news. A new phone launch and a big entry into e-commerce’.
Gionee Elife E8 sports a 6-inch WQHD with 2560×1440 pixels Super AMOLED display. The device is powered by 2GHz MediaTek MT6795 64-bit octa-core processor coupled with IMG G620 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
Coming to its storage options it includes 64GB internal storage which is further expandable upto 128 GB using a microSD card. On its photography part, it has a terrific camera options with 24 MP on back end with OIS, true-tone flash, and up front and 8MP which is certain to pacify selfies. The device draws its power from an impressive power saving 3,520mAh battery. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Gionee’s Amigo UI on top and has NFC connectivity.
The handset is a slim and lightweight and has a curvy ergonomic design with a dimension of 164.0×82.3×9.6(mm) and weighs 207g.
Another highlight of the phone are its fingerprint scanner on the back below the camera and dual LED flash. We can also notice a 4 holes for microphone above the camera and a speaker grill at the bottom.
The company will reveal information regarding the price only on Thursday along with news related to its entry into e-commerce site through which it might sell its devices.
