Gionee Launches Pioneer P3S Smartphone In India For Rs. 5999

Chinese mobile manufacturer Gionee has launched a entry level smartphone Pioneer P3S  into the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 5,999 which will go on for sale this week.

Pioneer P3S is an upgraded version of Pioneer P3 which was launched earlier in December 2013.

The Gionee latest smartphone features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop garnished with Amigo 3.1 UI with features like custom screenshots, power manager, phone data transfer and a theme gallery. The device is powered by MediaTek MT6580 chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 1GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage which can be expandable upto 32Gb via a microSD card.

It is equipped with 5-megapixel primary camera and a 0.3-megapixel secondary camera for selfies which has features to enhance the pictures along with continuous shots and panorama modes.

The smartphone supports connectivity options like Wi-Fi for internet access, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth for data transfer, and Micro-USB along with along with proximity, g-sensor, e-compass, motion and light sensors. The mobile draws its juice from 2,000mAh battery which can deliver 200 hours and talk time of up to 9 hours and the company claims that last 10% of the battery  “potentially last for some more time.”

By now it is clearly understood Pioneer P3S is going to be a successful one in the entry level market along with its competitors Lenovo A6000 Plus and the Karbonn Titanium Mach Five. The mobile will be available in White, Grey, Red, and Golden colour variants.
