India To Face Tough Fight Over Iran In FIFA WC

Indian FIFA team is stepping stones to counter Asian toppers Iranian team for the upcoming 2018 and 2019 years Asian Cup qualifiers. Indian team seems in good form without any injuries and so as Iran who will be playing in Group D match at Sree Kanteerava Stadium as favourites. Speculation are tantamount on Indian team too, Iran is ranked 40 in World FIFA Rankings. Past history is a bitter fact to digest as the last time India defeated Iran was way back in 1959 and the first ever victory was registered in 1951 at the Asian Games conducted in Delhi.

Indian plays Iran in FIFA WC

Indian football team is ranked 155th in the ladder, however the current situation lacks trust on home team as they have only won a single match in the last five games. It seems a bit tough challenge from Indian point of view as they are way bottom in the group and are defeated and out ruled from qualifiers even. India has played against Nepal during the warm-up matches and eventually ended in a tie. Indian strategy when they played against Nepal seemed like they were still experimenting with team approach, it needs to thrive hard to make a difference in the coming matches.

Key player in Indian team Arnab Goyal might be included in the final list and would furnish Central defense along with Sandesh Jhingan as they deliver best partnership in the back. Dhanpal Ganesh also seemed a quirky with some good play against Nepal. Coach Stephen Constantine is also planning to involve Robin Singh and Sunil Chhetri in the best XI, Jackichand Singh, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Ganesh and Shahnaz will playing as mid field. Indian Football team has conceded 14 goals in the past six games. Where as Iran team has played 12 games since last year World Cup in Brazil and managed to win 8 of them.
