Indian Davis Cup: Team Gets First Round Bye

Playing as the top seeds, Indian Davis Cup team were favoured with a bye during the first round at the Asia/Oceania Group I 2016 events. In the second round, which is going to be commence from July 15-17, India will be hosting New Zealand or Korea teams as both were successful in competing against each other earlier this year. India lost the World Group Play-off tie against top seeds Czech Republic 1-3 in the home tie last week to remain in the Asia/Oceania Group I zone.

Davis Cup : India favoured with Bye in Round One

Winner  from second round will  be promoted advance to the play-off stage, where teams  will have to prepare themselves to the elite 16-nation World Group.
