Google released its next gen Android One devices with partnership Lava in India with new Lava Pixel V1. However the second generation of Android One smartphone is a mid-range device priced at Rs. 11,350 — and exclusively available via Flipkart from Monday. Lava also announced that new Android One smartphones (Pixel V1) will also available at retail stores in the country.
Lava declare that much like other Android One smartphones, Lava Pixel V1 offer higher set of specs and will receive Android updates for 2 years. Lava company is confident that second generation Android One devices will void in the mid-range market of India. The smartphone features a premium looking, with a predominantly plastic back which resemble a metal look. However, the volume and power buttons are only made of metal.
Lava pixel V1 features a 5.5-inch HD (720p) resolution with Asahi Dragontrail Glass, which is apparently larger than first gen Android One smartphones that comes with 4.5-inch HD (480p) resolution, is protected by IPS FWVGA. The smartphone includes Mediatek (MT6582) processor clocked at 1.3GHz, alongside 2GB DDR3 RAM and 32GB internal storage will support expandable storage up to 32GB (via microSD).
Lava Pixel V1 Android One smartphone runs on latest Android version (i.e 5.1.1 Lollipop). The device features Dual SIM and supports 3G connectivity, but lacks 4G LTE connectivity. 13MP rear camera along with LED flash, while on front 8MP camera is on board. It packed with 2650 mAh Li-Po battery.
Apart from above sheet of specs, other including features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and etc. Available in two color variants Gold and White-Silver.
