Lenovo on Friday has launched a new laptop called Yoga 700 which is most affordable and more powerful compared to Yoga 900 which was released earlier. This hybrid laptop is available in two models either in 11-inch and 14-inch with price starting at $649 (roughly Rs. 42,400) and $799 (roughly Rs. 52,200) in U.S. However the details of the price and its availability in India are not known.
This convertible notebook can be used in different modes- laptop, tablet, tent, and stand. The 14-Inch model sports a features a full-HD 10-point multi-touch IPS display and configured with Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and coupled with 8GB DDR3L RAM. It comes with 256GB SSD internal storage and it is equipped with a HD (720p) webcam.
The major degrade from Yoga 900 to Yoga 700 is that it is wrapped up in plastic instead of magnesium. It supports connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.1, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, Card reader, and HDMI-out. This 2-in-1 laptop has got a dimension of 334.9×229.5×18.3mm and weighs 1.6kg. The 45 Whr Li-Polymer battery completes the pack which the company claims that it can deliver upto 7 hours of talktime. The company has not mentioned the details about the 11-Inch model, but the specifications according to the company’s Australia website is that it features a 10-point touch screen, OGS coating, and 800:1 contrast ratio. The Laptop is outfitted with less powerful Intel Core m5-6Y54 processor and the user will get a 1080p screen. It is configured with 256GB Samsung SSD and 8GB of DDR3L RAM. It houses 128GB SSD storage which is weighs only 1.1 kg and measures 15.8 mm thin and provides a battery life of 8 hours.
Both 11-inch and 14 inch devices are powered by Windows 10 and will be released in this November.
