Microsoft has globally launched its new suite of office applications 2016 on Tuesday which is the latest addition to its cloud-based subscription service Office 365.
Microsoft Office 2016 offers improved performance and stability with bringing new version of desktop apps Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Access which allows user to participate and work together.
“These latest innovations take another big step forward in transforming Office from a familiar set of individual productivity apps to a connected set of apps and services designed for modern working, collaboration and teamwork,” Chief Executive Satya Nadella said in a statement.
This office features a new ‘share’ button which is at the top right corner of the app which allow user to share privileges and share a message along with a document. You can also edit a document along with colleagues or family at the same time. But this feature at present is only limited to Word, Redmond says that this feature will be added to other local apps as well.
It also have a Skype for Business feature which allows you to work on a file with the contacts who are already in interaction with you. The company has also resolved multi platform problems. It usually compatible with windows 10 operating systems which offers a Office Mobile apps which are free for the devices which exhibits 10 inches or smaller. The company has made the software to sit in the local drive, even though it is a cloud based in order to benefit from the options available from the software suit.
Microsoft Office 2016 apps are available in 40 languages, Office 365 subscribers can download the new apps starting from tuesday.
