Technology Giant Microsoft has revealed its first laptop on Tuesday to extend the use of its latest operating system Windows 10.
Windows 10 operating system which was released in July was running on 110 million devices around the globe is now dominated by Apple Inc and Samsung.
“We now begin a new chapter of Windows 10 with new devices built for Windows 10,” said Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella at an event in New York.
Microsoft first Laptop dubbed as Surface Book comes in a silver colour sports a 13.5-inch detachable screen with 267 pixels per inch and with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 powered by sixth generation Intel processor and features a track pad made of glass and has a battery life of upto 12 hours. User can choose different storage options such as 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. RAM options for the device 8GB or 16GB RAM.
The device supports connectivity options WiFi 802.11ac Wi-Fi wireless networking, Bluetooth and 802.11a/b/g/n. It comes with accessories such as USB 3.0, full-size SD card reader, Surface Connect for charging, headset jack and a mini DisplayPort.
It is equipped with a 5 mp front-facing camera and 8MP secondary camera with autofocus with 1080p HD video recording. The device is fixed with dual microphones and has stereo speakers with Dolby audio on its front and back.
Having all these underlined specifications the Microsoft Surface Book is an expensive device and it will start from $1,499 and available from October 26.
