Oneplus has announced an aggressive marketing strategy for selling its new flagship smartphone OnePlus 2 under which the customers will be able to purchase the mobile without Invite on Amazon. The sale will be open for an hour on October 12 from 12:00 to 1 PM.
The company has stated that the time slots will be region locked means the customer staying in U.S will be able to purchase the mobile between 12Pm to 1Pm whereas an Indian vendor will be able to buy on Amazon India from 12PM to 1PM.
Coming to its specifications, it bears a 5.5-inch 1080p display and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor paired with 4GB RAM. On its storage options it comes in two variants- 16GB and 64GB variants priced at Rs 22,999 and Rs 24,999, respectively.
On its photography front, it comes with 13 megapixel rear camera with sensor pixel size of 1.3 microns. It also have a fingerprint scanner which allows can save upto five fingerprints and a USB port. The device is packed with 3,300mAh battery.
“While we’ve alleviated the invite demand to a reasonable extent on account of faster roll-outs, we feel that we owe it to you all to make it a bit more convenient this time around,” the Chinese smartphone manufacturer said in a blog post.
Customers can place a maximum of two orders, but can place as many orders they want during the one hour period.
It is important to mention that this would be the first sale ever since it was released in August.
