Philips Announces Two Smartphones With ‘SoftBlue’ Technology

Feeling your eyes getting strained after staring at your smartphone? This is because of the blue light which is released by your phone screen. But today Philips have introduced two new smartphones which are manufactured by the latest technology called ‘Blue Soft’ which minimizes the amount of Blue light  that is released from the display up to 86%, thus by reducing eye irritations. The two new smartphones dubbed as Philips Sapphire S616 and Philips Sapphire Life V787.

Philips ‘SoftBlue’ Display Smartphones Launched

Philips Sapphire S616 features a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixel. It is powered by a octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. It houses a 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expandable upto 128GB using a microSD card.

It is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with aperture of f/2.0 and 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie shooter that can shoot videos. The device draws its power from  3000mAh removable battery and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The phone runs on  Android 5.1 with firms UI running on top. The cost of the device is $222 and it is expected to launch in this November.

The Philips Sapphire Life V787 boasts a 5-inch full-HD display with a 1080×1920 pixel screen resolution. It comes with same specifications as S616 expect it has a quite larger 5000mAh battery which provides a talktime of upto 47 hours. It has a 13MP rear camera with phase detection and auto focus. The price information is not revealed by the company and it is expected to launch in November. On its software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
