Korean mobile manufacturer Samsung announced world’s slimmest tablet Galaxy Tab S2 labelled at Rs.39,400. It will be available in all the retail outlets from September 2 in gold, black and white variants.
This 4G enabled features 9.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with resolution of 2048×1536 pixels with Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, LTE, 32GB internal storage which is expandable upto 128 GB via micro SD card so that more data can be stored by the user. It is powered by Samsung’s Exynos octa-core processor (Quad 1.9GHz + Quad 1.3GHz) and a 3GB RAM unit. The tablet is just 5.6mm slim and weighs 392 gm.
“The Galaxy Tab S2 is the world’s slimmest tablet. The Galaxy Tab S2 combines features that enhance productivity and usability for a complete user experience powered by 4G data connectivity and speed,” Manu Sharma, director, mobile business at Samsung Electronics, said.
Coming to its Photography front, it has 8 MP primary camera with autofocus and the lens and secondary camera with 2.1 MP for Selfies. The tablet will draw its power from 5,870 mAH battery.
Galaxy Tab S2 is preloaded with Microsoft office for editing documents and it also have an extensive feature called “Side Sync” which user to control smartphone or a laptop via the tablet itself. It also comes with pre-loaded Galaxy gifts of worth Rs.31,000. Besides this it also offers multitasking which allows users to run two apps simultaneously.
“We believe the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is the most complete personal visual device designed for consumers to carry and use anywhere,” Sharma said.
“Given our commitment to the Indian market, the Galaxy Tab S2 is another contribution of Samsung to the Make in India campaign. This product will be made in India and made for India,” he added.
Galaxy Tab S2 with all its cool features is one of the most expensive tablets in the country.
