After launching Galaxy S6 Edge+ in August, Samsung is gearing up to launch its other’ major flagship Galaxy Note 5 phablet in India. The company has sent invitations to the media organizations for the launch scheduled on September 7 in New Delhi.
The invite simply tagged as “Samsung India cordially invites you to witness the most powerful and dynamic Galaxy yet”, which clearly indicates the launch of Galaxy Note 5.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 inherited a little from Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones in terms of its design. The Phablet flaunts a 5.7-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display, it is powered by Exynos 7422 64-bit octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM also offer a 32GB and 64GB inbuilt storage but without expandable storage.
As far as camera options are concerned, it is equipped with 16-megapixel f/1.9 rear camera with OIS and LED flash, 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and the device draw its power from 3,000mAh battery with quick wireless charging facility. The size of the device is measured as 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm and weighs 171 grams.
Coming to its software front, the Phablet runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop wrapped under TouchWiz UI which brings features like live YouTube broadcasting, and quick camera. Its connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB 2.0.
The cost of the Phablet is $700 for the 32GB model and $795 for the 64GB variant, so we expect the same cost in Indian version too.
The device is focused only towards US and Asian markets and will be available in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium variants.
