Indian all rounder Suresh Raina has successfully completed ten years of playing International Cricket for India. Raina made his International Career debut on July 30,2005 playing against Sri Lanka at Dambulla in ODI match. Raina expressed his happiness over completing successful decade career playing for India in International format of Cricket. This left handed batsmen has contributed many innings for Indian cricket team victory at various events. This talented player had a bitter start to his innings where he was bowled out for duck in his debut ODI.
Raina has played a total of 218 ODI’s and has scored 5,500 runs which includes 5 centuries and 35 half centuries with a strike rate of 93.80. Suresh Raina is probably the only Indian batsman to hit century in all three formats of the game T-20, ODI and Test. Raina has also taken part in 2011 World Cup representing India and played a crucial role in 2015 World Cup in Australia.
Suresh Raina expressed his joy and spoke, “It has been a really exciting journey for me completing a decade in international cricket. I would like to thank my family, BCCI, selectors, teammates, friends and fans for making this unbelievable journey incredible. I am happy the way I have paced my career so far and I will continue to give my best to bring all the laurels to the country.”
Raina has also lead team India against West Indies in an ODI series and won it with 3-2 during 2011.
