Xiaomi, Chinese smartphone manufacturer has tipped an event scheduled to next major release MIUI 7 on August 13 in China. The company made the official statement on its forum the arrival of MIUI 7, alongside latest version of its operating system is also expected to reveal its next flagship smartphone, Xiaomi Mi 5.
While the company was released MIUI 6 about one year ago, current version 6 based on Android 5.0.2. It seems to be a good time to release new version MIUI 7. Through appearance and user interface looking forward will something worth, we can expect from company. MIUI is arguably the most popularly used Android ROM (like CyanogenMod) accounting for at least 100 Million active users
MIUI forum said, “Xiaomi new product launch event is coming on Aug 13, 2015! And it’s confirmed, MIUI 7 will be released!” The event will take place at China National Convention Center.
Now Xiaomi MIUI offers a set of customisations which make the user to download various themes along with widgets apart from other smartphones. However, the latest operation system purportedly known that resemble and feel similar to iOS. However, no information was provided whether it is the upgradeable to mid-range like Redmi 2, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i etc.
According to rumours, Xiaomi Mi 5 purported features include a 5.2-inch QHD (1440p) resolution display with Gorilla Glass 4, powered by Snapdragon 810 processor. However there is no word about RAM yet. The device will houses 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash as well 13-megapixel front-facing camera. The Mi 5 expected to run Android 5.1 Lollipop and was even rumoured will be first fingerprint scanner from Chinese maker. A 3000mAh battery is likely to power the device.
