NTSE Application Form: National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) every year conducts the NTSE Exam. The examination notification has released by the NCERT on its official website. NTSE 2024
NTSE 2024 is known as National Talent Search Examination, which is a scholarship examination. This scholarship awarded to those students who performed best in the NTSE written test, project report, and interview. The qualified candidates in the exam will get some scholarship amount.
The two stages of the exam are, Stage – I is for state level and Stage – II for the national level. This exam is a national level examination held in many languages. This scholarship exam is for 10th, intermediate, graduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. level students. The student who will qualify the stage- I exam, only those can appear for the Stage- II examination for NTSE 2024.
The students, who want to study in higher education in science and social studies streams, only those can fill the NTSE Application Form 2024 and appear for the examination. This scholarship will help the selected candidates for completing their higher education. The submission of application form is not sent by online. The student has to submit the application form to the State Liaison Officer before the last date.
NTSE Exam Date 2024
NCERT has released the notification for NTSE 2024 exam on 17th July 2024 for each state in India. Students can apply for this Exam in August 2019. The exact starting date of the NTSE application form is not yet declared. In some days, the staring and closing date for the written exam and the release date for admit card will be available in the official site of NCERT. NTSE 2024 Scholarship Amount
The NCERT organizes the NTSE 2024 exam, but the exam conducted by each state separately. Each state takes responsibility for administering this exam in their state systematically. The Stage – I examination is also known as the State Level Talent Search Examination. For getting the scholarship, the student has to qualify both Stages – I & II exam. A student who has filled the NTSE Application Form and qualified the exam will get the scholarship. The scholarship amount varies according to the student qualification.

NTSE Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
A student who wants to apply for the NTSE 2024 examination has to satisfy the eligibility conditions. For NTSE Stage – I examination, the eligibility criteria has set by every state for their state examination. But for the Stage – II exam, the eligibility conditions have set by the NCERT. To appear for the examination, the applicant must satisfy the eligibility criteria at both stages. The eligibility conditions for the exam are:
- Student, who is studying in 10th standard in recognized school are eligible for the NTSE 2024 exam. The resident certificate is not needed.
- The student age should be less than 18 years as on 1st July 2024.
- The applicant must be qualifying the 10th standard for 1st
- The Indian student, who is studying 10th level in abroad, they can directly apply for the NTSE Stage-II Exam. But they have to score at least 60% marks in class 9th.
NTSE 2024 Reservation Criteria
In NTSE 2024 exam, for some category candidate, the seats are reserved for them. The percentages of reserved seats are:
- 15% seats for SC category Candidates
- 5% for ST Students
- 27% for OBC Category
- 10% are for EWS SC category candidates
- 4% For Physically Challenged Candidates
NTSE 2024 Exam Pattern
The NTSE 2024 exam held in two stages, and in each stage, there are two tests. One is the Mental Ability Test (MAT), and the second one is the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Each test timing is 120 minutes. For visually challenged candidates extra 30 minutes will be provided. The student will appear the exam in offline mode (using pen and paper). For each question, one mark will allot, and there is no negative marking for the wrong answer.

Syllabus: NCERT doesn’t release any syllabus for the NTSE 2024 exam. All questions will come from the 9th and 10th class syllabus. The student has to complete their class syllabus for better preparation. Eligible students can also refer to a booklet named “Learn about Test,” which has to contain MAT and SAT sample papers. In this exam, the questions will come from mathematics, science, and social science subjects.
Application Fee: The NTSE Application fee is not equal for all states. Each state decides on the application fee for their state.
NTSE 2024 Cut off Mark
The cut-off mark for the examination has set by the NCERT. The minimum mark which scored by the students is known as the cut off mark. The cut-off mark varies according to the student’s category. The cut-off mark is the same for Stage – I & II test.

- Fill up the NTSE application form and pay the application fee
- Send the application form to the State Liaison Officer by online or offline

- Collect the NTSE 2024 registration form from the State Liaison Officer
- Fill up it without any mistake
- Submit it in State Liaison Officer before the last date
