The Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekhar Rao is popularly known as KCR, held a high-level meeting on the crafting of the Dharani Portal. The Dharani Telangana Land Records Portal a vital part of the Revenue Act to make land deals and land records in the state transparent. This new revenue scheme intends to completely modernize and change the way revenue administration that carried out in the state of Telangana.

The KCR led state government has stated to all the government officials to furnish and provide online data on all the houses, lands, flats, and other non- agricultural properties across the state within 15 days. In a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan, the entire implementation of the act along with its deadline discussed.
According to the official records of the Telangana government, details of over 89.47 lakh properties in the local bodies have already been digitized and the leftover properties are also completed in 15 days. So that the people of the state can easily check and verify property details with just a click and the entire process becomes easy and transparent.
15 days to update Dharani Land Records Portal
Mr. Rao instructed all officials of the Municipal Administration and Panchayat Raj departments to make sure of the registration. Hosting of all the lands under their jurisdiction completed before the portal becomes operational.
There were several different reasons mentioned for the digitization of the records. This exercise follows the sanctioning of the legislation that directed towards refurbishing and mending the corruption that often seen at revenue departments.
The Chief Minister also cited some other reasons such as, it being a positive step towards bringing clarity and straightforwardness in the department, so that people, especially farmers, who have developed a kind of hatred towards the land and revenue offices because of the harassment they face during land transactions, could let go of the resentment. Bringing all the important documents online will lead to a smooth and foolproof handover of the papers to their respective owners.

Earlier because there was so much human interference and interaction everywhere, corrupt practices were born; the government hopes to solve such problems with this new reformative step. The meeting held also focussed on the operational procedures that should unroll after the new practices. It meant a breakthrough in the normal governmental norms approved by the Governor.
By the orders of the chief minister the officials of Municipal Administrations as well as the ground-level workers of the panchayats, are to hold meetings with the District level Panchayat Raj officers as well as Mandal level officers to accelerate the procedure of online registration. Some of the people present at the Review meeting were State Chief Advisor and Former Chief Secretary, Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Rythu Bandhu Samithi State President Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Municipal Administration, and Urban Development Secretary Arvind Kumar. The meeting also conveyed that from now on, no non-agriculture land assessment (NALA) conversion charges will be levied for mutation collections.
Dharani Portal To Check Land records
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao also clarified that transfer of properties and property registrations will also be done through the Dharani web portal in the coming future, he also urged people to corporate with the officials by providing complete information about their property holdings and play their parts for a smooth and effective digital handover.
KCR also announced that all the non-agricultural properties provided with maroon colored passbooks and green colored ones provided to farmers. Also, said that the government would provide the last chance for farmers to go for mutation of their agricultural properties under Sada Bainama(property transactions made on ordinary papers) soon. Or else it might pose problems for their children in the future.
