EPass Karnataka Student Hostel: The Government of Karnataka has recently published many different types of scholarships for the students that wish to pursue their studies. One such scholarship is in regards to accommodation for hostel facility. EPass Karnataka Student Hostel Registration
The Government of Karnataka, through the help of the website ePass Karnataka or KARePass, has set forth some conditions for the students that are willing to apply for the scholarship of accommodation. They are
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must belong to a minority class, that is, he/ she should be from SC/ST/OBC.
- The overall income of the family that the particular candidate belongs to should not exceed .2, 50, 000/- per annum.
- The student must also possess good overall academic sore which would play as a deciding factor for selection of the candidate for the scholarship.
- The candidate must also be a regular attending member of a college of University with a minimum attendance of 75%.
Documents Required For KARePass Karnataka Hostel
Several documents need to be authenticated to ensure that a right candidate is in possession of the scholarship. Most of those documents include
- SSLC Certificate (Secondary School Leaving Certificate)
- Aadhar card of the candidate or EID number
- Passbook of the bank that the student is in possession of
- A colour photograph (passport size) which should not exceed 30 kilobytes.
- Scorecard of the previously completed course.
- Residence certificate
- Income certificate
How To Apply For ePass Karnataka Student hostel
For the candidates that want to utilize the opportunity of accommodation scholarship, should note that the application process has already started from 12th June 2024 and the last day of submission of this notice is at the end of August 2019. The procedure that can guide you for applying for the accommodation scholarship through online mode is given as follows-
- First, open any browser like Mozilla, Chrome, Internet Explorer and visit the official website of the Government of Karnataka which is cgg.gov.in
- On the homepage, you will be able to view a headline named-“Important Alerts”.
- Under the above-stated headline, find and click the link that is in regards to the accommodation scholarship. Read all the details carefully and return back to the official website of ePass of Karnataka.
- Under the headline of “Student Zone”, click on the fresh registration for the hostel.
- You will be directed to another page where, after checking all the details and your eligibility criteria, tick in the box that reads-“I have gone through all the instructions”
- You will enter a new page where you have to fill in all your legit credentials and register.
- After the registration, you will be able to apply through the application form with all the necessary details and then uploading all the required documents in an attachment to the application form.
- Download the form after submission until further use.

If you are a student that has already applied for the scholarship and would like to know the status of your application form, you can find out by visiting through the official website of Government of Karnataka and following through the below steps-
- Open the official website of the Government of Karnataka.
- Under the section of “Student Services”, you will be able to view the link to application status.
- Upon clicking the link, you will be directed to another page in which after entering a few details, you will be able to see the status of your application.
