Korgaonkar, Shri Ramchandra Tawate, and some other residents agree to give the plot to construct a new market. The Ganesh festival for the first time started in 1935 at the Lalbaug, and late Madhusudan D Kambli was commissioned to sculpt the Lalbaugcha Raja. The path takes around 5-8 hours and sometimes, it also takes 12-14 hours to get darshan for the idol of Lalbaugcha Raja.
