In May 2017, a Central Sector Scheme approved by the Cabinet. The scheme named Agro- Marine Processing and Development for Agro-Processing Clusters or SAMPADA. It was coterminous with the 14^th cycle of the finance commission. It launched from 2016 to 2024.
